The Colour Of Love

Blue

With this love that we share

and the knowing it's true,

our dreams and desires

asks you to colour our love blue.

Grey

And as I love you my sweetheart

with tender words I will say,

and ask if you'll except them

so you may colour our love grey.

Pink

When we experience playful encounters

and have time to think,

I'll hold you close by me

as you colour our love pink.

White

With the days we hold dearly

when our love is so bright,

then our memories and thoughts

remind you to colour our love white

Red

If my love seems a bit distant

with words I have said,

then my heart tells me sweetheart

to colour our love red.

Yellow

And I know that at times

we will become quiet and mellow,

if this is the case dear

then colour our love yellow.

Green

In our sentiments and best wishes

and constant affection to dream,

I will hand you the pen

to colour our love green.

Black

And if I hurt you or wrong you

when there's no turning back,

then I ask you dear sweetheart

to colour our love black.

Very lovely, heartfelt poem, Peter...and playful. :0) Love the way you cover the different emotions involved in a close relationship with a partner with the colors that their experience evokes. :0)
