The Curtain Will Close

What would you know?

It’s all a show

A part was given now act

With your life facts

Keep going no cuts

Before the curtain shuts

No pauses or rewinds

Roles already assigned

The lights dim

No time to read or skim

No manuscript to follow

Just a given tomorrow

Line after line

Running in your mind

Too much to come by

You sit and wonder why

The show must go on

Before you part is drawn

And given to another

But your part like no other

Unique in a special way

Eventually ending one day

“Whose house is that?” I asked as we drove by a wicked looking house. “Stories are told that five woman assassins live there. They are heard of but never seen “answered Travis. “Really?...

No one pretends forever Bella. You tell it so beautifully with your words. One day every pretense will come to an end, the show will stop, the curtain close and only the truth remains.

To Bell,

Congrats on another wonderful poem, I really enjoyed this one, mainly because of the theme. You made a perfect point inside the poem. It brings excitement and thrill. You helped the reader become apart of the story, as if they were the ones behind the curtain. Really, great job. Keep it up.

B., Isn't it all a show?? I dedicate this poem to a man I met online that lives in NY and owns a house out in Mexico. So one trip when he came out here we met up had lunch and talked and went our seperate ways. this was about going now on 3 years ago, everytime I would have a bad day or something wouldn't go right he would tell me Ms. dont worry its all a show one day it will be over and there will be no room to act your part live life and enjoy it cus one day that curtain will close. So I wrote about it. ;)

Michael, Hey there buddy thank you for stopping by.

Shan, Thank you for thinking so I appreciate always your feed back.

Jami, Thanks a bunch as always you leave me with a smile with your comments.

CBM, Thanks I am glad I painted a descriptive image.

Kam, Thanks for visiting :)
