The Epiphany of Moments

By Tony DeLorger © 2014

Is not the wind the breath of God,

the whisper of secrets and the truths of life,

in every moment and step we take,

the vision of creation and the knowledge of being.

Is not the sound of life a cacophony of miracles,

enacted before us, witnessed in sanctity,

unfathomable complexity and the seeds of exploration,

infinitely displayed for the fruition of dreams.

Is not the sight of a single bloom,

endowed with such beauty and purpose,

perfection in the vastness of thought and belief,

an image so complete it is etched into existence.

Is not the words that fall from lips,

the most exquisite opportunity to love and nurture life,

to yearn and behold a singular soul with potential,

to become the heart of a flower.

Is not the thought of an intelligent being,

a voracious will to understand,

to find compassion and empathy in a world of balances,

ever-ready to transcend the darkness into glorious light.

Is not the choice of being the creator of paths,

the forged destiny of an individual life,

from seed to bloom, from ignorance to wisdom,

played out in a million moments, searching for realisation.

Life is about choices: how to see, how to listen, how to feel, how to love, to understand and in the end, deciding who to be.

Glad you agree Linda, and yes it's what we do with the opportunity that defines our life and gives it meaning. Have a great day.

Beautifully put Tony. All our experiences and moments here are a miracle of sorts. It's how we use them that makes the difference. Great poem.
