The Fear of Public Speaking.
Timid as a mouse, she approached the podium, where cats got her tongue.
It was an English Lit class
But it was the crowd
that darkened her moment
in the spotlight.

Face flushed Tongue tied
she sat down her eyes squinting
at her unread oriental tiers.
She failed Language Arts,
and never wrote again though her poem was quite brilliant, they all thought it was snot.
