The Garden Rainbow

In remembrance of a weekend at South by Southwest in Austin... all the people were there; every color, every free spirit, every style....

Lifeless legs can never dissuade
A mind ready for the fall
As hope always knows
A helping hand is close by
The faceless horde
Barricaded inside their dreams
Where the people emerge
Wearing freedoms colors
Laying bare before us
The nudist reminded of nature
And brought us back to the womb
For our rebirth on the road
Rhythmscapes were painted
Of an odists time on the streets
For a small vacation
In pure gleeful shock
Genius rock candy sounds
Occupying a forgotten patch
Of Venus and Mars
Forever’s moment became ours
The cobra was drawn by allure
Eclectic sound of misfit revenge
Exploding inner sanctum artistry
Where the past comes to die
All expectation and planning is damned
The atom is split as the drummer falls
Laughing uncontrollably
The final unplayed note was heard
Carried like a cross
Not to be sacrificed
But to be planted on our hearts
As only a strangers smile can be felt
Living as the extreme of who you really are
An ode to your pain
And naked in front of your fears
When will you return to the garden?

@raciniwa - Thank you. This is just a retelling of my day on Saturday at Austin's South by Southwest music festival. They block off downtown and have bands playing all over the place. It was crowded and full of happy eclectic people.... in other words, the real world....
