Crows in their nests in the Grove, Felixstowe
Crows in their nests in the Grove, Felixstowe

The Woods

I walked in the woods

today, the birds were silent

but, as I set foot there,

they began their songs.

The woodpigeons, the crows,

respectfully, quietly,

not like the loud

calling as they make

their nests in spring.

As if they saw me, as

I went there, to feel the peace

of the trees, to ponder

the past and the future.

It worked its magic

as before. I left

their quiet, timeless majesty,

again,

renewed.

It's about 6:30 here. It's almost time for me to put some sunflower seeds out for the birds and squirrels. I love the Cardinals, Finches, pigeons, and the rest. I do love your work Hummingbird. I love coming back to read and see your pics. God bless my Dear!
