The Haze

The addiction

Leaving you blind

In a mental haze

A whirlwind

Blows through

Your mind

Wondering what

Happened to the time

The emotions

Running through you

That you try to force

Deep down

Pain

Fear

Making you go insane

So you are left in this haze

To fend for yourself

Craving a release

From the pain

So that you can

Wake up the next morning

And start again

And who among us is free from an addiction. Perhaps we are wise to calibrate them on their destructive qualities. Or perhaps we should look at them more with opportunities lost. Great Piece.

The list of addictions is long and painful, and your poetry showcased the despair one must feel. Deep and meaningful!

Most emotional poetry. Well expressed.
