It's All Music!

Anthems of our generation

Generations past

Protesting

Celebrating

Exploring

Moving hearts

Shaping minds

Across all cultures

Crossing barriers

Bringing us together

Letting go of inhibitions

Joining forces

Forgetting differences

Reckless abandon

Moving safely

Feeling happy

Laughing

Singing

Dancing

Letting it all go

Forgetting the hardships

Moving to the rhythm

Taking time

Listening

Joining hands

Applauding

All is good

In the moment

Universally

It’s music

It’s music

It’s music

Good morning, Russ...

Yes, the music...What a dull world were music absent...Your exclamatory poem brought to mind one of my favorite songs by the Doobie Bros: Listen to the Music...

Remember these lines ?:

" Don't you feel it growin', day by day..People gettin' ready for the news..Some are happy, some are sad..Oh, we got to let the music play..What the people need is a way to make 'em smile..It ain't so hard to do if you know how..Gotta get a message..Get it on through..Oh, now mama's go'n' to after 'while.. Oh, oh, listen to the music..Oh, oh, listen to the music..Oh, oh, listen to the music..All the time ".

Thanks for reminding us of the importance ( and necessity ) of music in our lives...Larry

Hi Larry, I do remember those lines but for some reason remembered just the tempo, sound, and feeling. I never quite connected with what they were saying! (Where was my head in those days?) Thanks for bringing them back and letting me see them differently. Go well. Russ

Amen , Russ, and you just nailed this one perfectly - can anyone else top what you have said here so poetically - so sweetly - about the most universal sound around - music - other than silence.

Hubbravo Sir and so nice to meet you - sending you warm wishes and good energy from lake erie time ontario canada 9:41pm
