The Line- a poem
By Tony DeLorger © 2012
Instilled in every soul on earth,
a purpose born, a light to birth,
revealing each and every sin,
that darkness can and often wins.
But we in choice can ignore the plight,
and choose to live within the light,
not cross that line of deep regret,
instead abide by nature’s step.
Potential is all we have to bare,
in life the pain of selfish air,
when all returns to mother’s womb,
a self-centered life at end consumes.
For we can fly and vision grace,
of earthly peace and love’s embrace,
by accepting fault and compassion give,
we deny the dark and chose to live.
Even surrounded by the darkest deeds,
in light and potential we must succeed,
for love is power an earth redeemed,
from shallow beginnings to purest dreams.
And we who know that possible end,
can heal one another and never bend,
for truth in force can pale a lie,
and in love our soul cannot deny.
