. . . And Other Cries for Revival
For those of you that know me, you know my spiritual interest lies in revival. I long to see the glory of God resurrected in this nation once again. Dark days have invaded America, and unless something drastic takes place to change the moral and spiritual fiber of this great country, darker days are coming.
I know that many of you share my passion for this country. I kow that I don't stand alone in seeking the face of God on behalf of America. Know that God sees every tear. Know that God hears every prayer that we cry unto Him. He is faithful. n

Now - back to the issue at hand . . . .
What will it take for America to turn around? Is America too far gone? Is there any hope? First of all, let me say that - no, America is not too far gone, and yes, there is hope. Jesus Christ is the ultimate hope, but even He won't force us to change. And change must take place. For America to continue on the crooked path it is now following will only bring its destruction. Still, I'm not looking for change in the nation's politics. I'm not looking for change to come from our public school systems. I'm not looking for a rise in the moral thermometer of the nation.
The church is made up of families. If the families are ministered to at all levels, the church will be strong. If not, the church will incur weakness and at the very best fall into compromise. Quite often, closing the church doors for good is the end result. You, in full-time service for the Lord, are you loving and leading your flock for God in a positive, but yet scriptural way? Do the children feel as much a part of your ministry as hopefully the adults do? How about the teens? Do you preach the wrath of God as much as you do the love of God? Do you preach and teach holiness as a lifestyle, or do you back away from preaching on sin? Do you preach and teach service to the Lord as much as you teach sitting at His feet? It's time to get real!
We are definitely living in the last days and our precious America is going to hell to the tune of 169.2 people a minute. That's 10,152 people each hour or 243,648 people each day. No matter who you are - husband, preacher, wife, teenager, it's time to get serious about what you profess. Now is the time to move. Tomorrow will be too late because today will be gone.

Don't underestimate the power that God has entrusted to you. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." You have the ability to step up. You have the capacity to make a difference in someone's life. So just do it. Quit being passive. Quit being lazy. Quit wasting time. Reach out to someone. Be a blessing instead of always seeking to be blessed.
Let the love of Christ drive you to serve Him with every ounce of your being. James 1:22 gives us this challenge - "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." Don't be afraid of burning out for Christ. He'll keep the light shining and the fire going if you just do your part. Decide right now that there will be no more back seat Christianity for you; that you will serve God with the only life you have. Someday this world will be over. The only thing you can take with you is souls that you led to Christ. That's all. Don't go empty-handed.
