...The Mortician...

Crouched inside a silent tomb

A bleached and antiseptic womb

Filtered in

sun and wind

through the iron gates...

A hallowed smile

a weathered look

a child's death

is all it took

to turn

The Mortician...

A whispered, thin

voice within

caught on his skin

the next of kin

the calls he makes

the lives he takes

The Mortician lives

Alone.

He hears the sighs

and the guilt gone by

as people march

under November skies

the look of sin

lays deep within

The Mortician clearly sees

Lies...

The mother now stranded

as the Devil has landed

upon her angry black heart...

while the man she protected

lives on, unaffected

and tears so many lives

Apart...

The Mortician,

he noted

the lies unreported

the desolation that

swims in her eyes...

He imagines the dark horror

that will soon destroy her

as she recoils and toils

Alive...

Well, some of my poems are written in the same tone. So, yes it is so beautiful (: And yes it is also a wonderous work of writing.
