The Non-Workings Man's Blue: A Poem
The non-working man's blues, I've got the non-working man's blues
How about you
I'd rather be working
Then sitting around here
But I can't you see
All the jobs have disappeared
The jobs are all gone
They went overseas
There are no jobs left
In the Land of the Free
Still I send out a resume
I fill out an app
But I don't hear
I don't hear a word back
I've got the non-working man;s blues
Yes I do, Yes I do
I've got the non-working man's blues
Yes it's true, yes it's true
I can seem to find a cure for
The non-working man's blues
The man on the news says
Unemployment's on the decline
That soon, so soon
Everything will be just fine
But I'm getting tired of
Of the same old line, all the time
The jobs are all gone
They went overseas
There are no jobs left
In the Land of the Free
I've got the non-working man;s blues
Yes I do, Yes I do
I've got the non-working man's blues
Yes it's true, yes it's true
I can seem to find a cure for
The non-working man's blues
The non-working man's blues
I've got the non-working man's blues
How about you
