The Odd Perfection of Souls

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

As weird as it seems,

in a timeless haze,

we forgo the mundane,

and pursue each other relentlessly.

Sleepless nights,

in torrent streams of passion,

each touch a new wave,

each smile imbued by tender wanting lips.

Souls imbibe a love revived,

from deep within, hidden, in waiting,

with seamless ease,

without doubt or question,

you and I have touched perfection,

the realisation that anything is possible,

and happiness is for the asking.

Eyes meet searing our depths

with the knowledge of right,

the dreams of fancy,

somehow stark reality.

Flesh to flesh,

passion unbridled,

love freed,

hearts filled

and life given meaning

beyond hopes.

Finding you an epiphany,

that you exist at all, a miracle.

Finally, I am home.

great imagery and metaphors. "Finding you an Epiphany" what a great line, simple yet complex in it's true meaning and journey.

I like this one Tony, thank you for sharing
