The One I Lost
This poem is for a special girl who I'm sure would rather not be named but she knows who she is.
In the glowing embers of the fire, I feel your warmth.
The rain that falls gently on my skin is but only tears.
The tears that fall taint the memories we made
the ones that were meant to last forever
Together forever, drawn by a bond
so powerful and yet weak enough that it broke
when I told you it's over, that I couldn't anymore..
Regrets are but one of the many things I feel
when I talk to you.
I miss you and would take it all back in an instant.
So babe if you're reading this, I miss you.
