The Philosophy Of Socrates: Part VIII
A Nameless King:
Oh wise Socrates...I have heard in the streets that you have talked of radical science...of the meanings of life,
Please don't let anyone hear us however...only because if we're caught it will dismantle the reputation that has rewarded me,
The reasonings you offer every individual that passes your gaze is more than any civilization can handle,
Why Socrates...is it because you are truly ahead of your time...or do you simply see life and the world as it truly is?
Great King...Do you know what your version of life should be...or do you simply want me to guide your kingdom secretly?
Do you not know that I do not secretly decide to pursue ideals behind closed doors...therefore everything I say to you will be taught elsewhere...do you not know this?
No one is kept from my supposed secrets...as I do not hold the key to life...life simply holds the key to mine,
Great King...Find your true satisfaction and you will find yourself...whether good or bad...you will find your unknown path in life.
A Nameless King:
The gods have brought you here to guide me...even if it is for a short period of time...But you defile me...you teach me nothing but riddles,
What gives you the right to dismantle my reasoning Socrates...I care for your well being when others throw rocks at you...Why?
Great King...I only help you decide your life as your percieve it...no more or no less will I influence what you do not want to accomplish with this visit,
Oh Royalty...Will you find the individuality within you...or let your subjects call your laws for you?
