The Roundel: Born for Greatness Leading Autistic People to Prosperity.
The Roundel: Born for Greatness Leading Autistic People to Prosperity.
Born for greatness you were my son.
Your mighty heart, quick wit are a rarity.
You were born with autism and you were called dumb.
Born for greatness!!!
Your hard work perseverance and love is your guarantee.
That you are the meant to be the one.
Your mind and ambition have so much clarity.
In a society that is apathetically numb.
You will lead Autistic people to prosperity.
And all your work will be done.
Born for greatness.
Roundel
A roundel is an English poem which has a three stanza scheme that follows the following pattern/ ABAR: BAB: ABAR in which r = the refrain. It is a more sophisticated rhyming pattern scheme then is seen in most modern days poems and yet it’s coding is rather intricate. It is simple and concise and a rather interesting poetic device. It follows a certain logic which seems to flow very natural as all other poems. And yet it is not cumbersome. I have provided you with a link so you can learn more about this type of poem. In the fortune I will try to provide you with different types of poems as to expose you to them as I am just learning this myself.

My Inspiration
That is easy for all of you that know me. It is my son who everyday gets up and does his studies despite the fact he has autism. He has never given up or surrenders to Autism but struggles to learn a 100 knew things a day at least. He never complains but meets each challenge every single day without the benefit of any help from anyone. He hates it when I try to given him the answer when he is stuck on a problem. He doesn’t want nor need my help. He wants to figure it out all on his own and work diligently on refining his knowledge base every single day.
And he never feels sorry for himself. My son is beyond that which I am not. There is no self pity but sheer determination. And so even on days I want to do light lessons. He is on me to give him his full lesson because it is about him. And he wants the only mystery to be left in the world to be the mystery of him, his strength and his courage.
And as previously states my son is a big Barack Obama fan or at least he was. And my son aspires to be president one day. I am hoping this is only a phase but he is pretty determined. And so I am in awe of my son’s ability to dream and his willingness to overcome those hurdles and challenges to be the next leader of the free world. And while as his Mother I secretly hope he will forget about being president and pursue a career in a rock band as a drummer. I hold my tongue because I will not diminish my son’s dreams nor would I allow anyone else’s child, especially with Autism, have their dreams diminished either. It is not often children with Autism have dreams as they are such concrete thinkers.
So my inspiration is my son’s hard work, diligence, perseverance and ability to dream.
