The Shattered Vase
THE SHATTRED VASE: THE DARK SIDE~
We are all born broken,
With no word spoken
Lost and blind we have walked
And money and women we have loved & stalked
[A tyrant is born]
Defected by birth and all way through life
We have learned to fight, to kill, how to use a knife
Tyrants by blood and all way through adolescence
This life simply makes no sense
Resembling the God of war, echoing with hate
And by our actions and twisted doctrines we sealed our fate
Broken, defected yet claiming perfection
We have claimed our destruction without self realization
Like soldiers struck by lightening
A sight that is tormenting and frightening
Yet we forgot how fragile the body is
And tranquility and peace we were destined to kiss
Goodbye, as we have drowned ourselves in the materialistic universe
Watching all the ancient happy moments fade, into the past disperse
The lights are out as humanity we have destroyed
And the art of war we’ve mastered and deployed
Yet, each other and nature we’ve learned to exploit
Living in a world ruled by self-mutilation
Knowing no mercy, no hope no affection
Yet the dark suffocates the rays of hope
Casting down the eternal hopeless rope
For humanity to take its own life
As by our acts we hand it the knife
Indeed, forsaken we have become, alone
Each person living for his existence, on his own
Has the world gone blind, for I have no answer?
To this quest you call eternal, as our hearts waver
I feel like a repent-less soul cast to drift
And suffocate and crumble with a swift
Motion made by fate, I’m ready to break
While having my kin drive a stake
Through my heart and empty body
Yet as I cry for help, there’s nobody
Can someone tell me how come we turned out hollow?
Were we fed with hate with milk, mixed with sorrow?
How come the heart crumbles and solidifies?
And we’ve turned into the person we despise
How come we don’t know who we truly are?
And from humanity we have gone astray so far?
So tell me, what if the vase crashes to the floor
Who will mend its wounds, what about its core
How can the world claim itself just?
When we live in a world ruled by lust
A world that preaches hate to be a must!
