The Show Must Go Onward.

The Show Must Go Onward.

Satin keys lie within his grasp,

offering a gentler song for America

full of harmony, kindness and  hope.

We selected a noteworthy player

to rise above.....ebony sharp,

he was pressed to bring

change from the endless

rehashings of that same old song.

But ivory rifts stand between

his dreams and our desires,
to work in concert with him

in the composing of hope.

Ivory rifts reverberate dis-chord,

completely out of tune

with what the masses need

to see performed.
only seeking to slam the lid

on his nimble, multi-tasking fingers,

We must "not" allow him

to remain solo, but rather accompany him
raising our voices on a

grand scale of encouragement.

Drowning out the uninspired,

all those who have failed

to orchestrate a perfect pitch,

whose leaders have also failed

our massive band of dreamers,

and now stand idle in the wings.

We must silence those who

wail on tiny sad violins,

stringing out their endless

dismay at what could be a masterpiece.

Only then can he continue uninterrupted

to finish his measures,

creating a new theme

that will set all hearts to dancing

towards a much brighter tomorrow.
