Silent Train

I hear you

Every night

From my window

Summer darkness

Musty warmth

You come like a ghost

All alone

I listen

To your whispers

Echoing through

The wind

Visiting me

Like a

A comforting friend

I wait for you

To take flight

Then like a phantom

You disappear

Again

Into the night

Well done, although imp not sure I would personally appreciate living too close to the tracks.

A real treasure and a real bond, this closeness. Thoughtful and intimate poem.
