A Metaphorical Revelation

"I am the true spirit of all that is wild",said the grey wolf, proudly,

"Nay, it is I", screeched the beautiful Golden Eagle, replying loudly!

"I am the fiercest and greatest creature", growled the huge brown bear,

"You all have much in common", the wise owl called to the trio there.

"But I rule the hills, and my call strikes fear", proclaimed the fine big wolf.

"Who can fly over the land and oversee the world below"? shrilled the bird.

"I am the strongest and have no fear of anything", the great bear remarked.

"As I watch over the hills, I see much waste", called the owl, true to his word.

"What if we all worked as one, until the evening light is done", asked the sage?

"The eagle oversees, the wolf beckons to us, as the bear watches and prowls."

The three wild ones fought and argued into the night, as all were in such a rage,

In the night was heard, the screech of the eagle, bear's growl and grey wolf's howls.

"Is much the way of the world, is it not so",.. mused the wise one.... quietly sitting there.

"Such greed and self-serving souls, from the small to the great, seeming not to care."

"Who can rightfully say that he is the best, when all have greatness, and for all to share?"

As the evening mist kissed the hills, darkness spread its wings, and none did it spare.

whonunuwho, Your artwork beautifully complements your words.

These words especially are compelling:

"Who can rightfully say that he is the best, when all have greatness, and for all to share?"

Your message is important and appreciated. And your presentation, through words and images, is effective, leaving interesting thoughts and images which linger in the mind.

You very skillfully transposed the animal's world to the selfish world we find ourselves in. We should all be listening to this message.

Your artwork is beautiful, the owl is my favourite and looks almost magical.
