The Tides of Time

Indelible Grace/O Love That Will Not Let Me Go

The ocean has movement, tides come and go. But in truth, it moves to nowhere because it is contained and is limited to spans; to the ocean shores. And it's fury displayed in immense crashing waves is spent in vain. It can go no further than it's given bounds. And whether it rains from the heavens or endures a season of drought, still the oceans exist, safe and secure in their given home.

My heart is contained in the arms of God's love, much like the ocean. The tides of time seem to move me, beyond the limits sometimes it seems and I wonder- am I still safe? Feelings are fickle and the heart grows despondent, waiting anxiously for the waves to calm once more. But one look at the ocean and I know it's okay, because I rest safe and secure in the arms of God's love.

No one can pick up the ocean or force it beyond it's span, nor can my heart be plucked from you God. Your arms are my home; contained by Your love.

The tides of time do nothing but prove it so. You are the harbor of my heart...

Romans 8:38 & 39
