The Travellin’ Song

I wanna mosey down the road a piece
Once the snows have gone
I wish to see
What I have not seen before

I wanna got down the road a piece
One hand in the hand of my love
One hand in the hand of the Lord
My cat in a sack
And see what’s around the bend

I’ve had lots of things
To be thankful for
So it’s not cause I’m greedy for more
Just wanna know
What other wonders this lovely Earth holds

I wanna go down the road a piece
One hand in the hand of my love
One hand in the hand of the Lord
My cat in a sack
And see what’s around the bend

One quick nap before the road
One quick nap before the road
By the canal
By the canal
Ready to show the way
Ready to show the way
The Yellow Brick Road
The Yellow Brick Road

I wanna see some more
Of all the beauty everywhere
And take a look at some mountain tops
Converse with the animals in the wild
And go fishing on rivers I’ve only heard about

If I stay in one place
Content I’ll be
But then I’ll never know
How the other side of the world looks

I wanna go down the road a piece
One hand in the hand of my love
One hand in the hand of the Lord
My cat in a sack
And see what’s around the bend

So I wanna go wandering
Before life closes its door on me
And find what I haven’t found before
Not much just life’s simplest pleasures
And meet friendly people
As we go along

I wanna go down the road a piece
One hand in the hand of my love
One hand in the hand of the Lord
My cat in a sack
And see what’s around the bend

Let's whip out the musical instruments , It feels great when someone else sings your song, so let me tell you that I did, and it sounded pretty good. I am dead serious.

I wanted to post two questions one about smiles and the other about kids . I'll post the kids in a minute. The other I will say to you can you do a happy thing with out a smile?

Keep smiling my dear lady Rose, you will be singing forever.

Gods blessings to you and yours.

I sang it with some soul in between the lines and the rythm was perfectly done. Not need of rehearsal what soever. Thanks for your heart given away in this inspiration

Thank you so much for your comments Sky9106 and no you can't do a happy thing without a smile. God bless.

Thanks a lot Lord and I'm glad you liked this. It just sort of came to me as I was gazing at all the snow melting away and thinking of the coming spring.

Thanks you so much for your vote and comment Debby. I guess this little song sort of could be sung how one feels that particular moment. I was sorta making it like feet tapping you know like skipping down the road.

Thanks so much Eclectic Fusion for the vote and comment. That's my sweet boy Sid. I always fondly call him Fangs whenever he yawns.

Thanks so much Eddy hope your day's great.

lol Mary I can't sing worth anything but the talent I do have is that I can sing a rhythm in my head and so somehow the songs come out.Glad you liked this.
