"The Troubadour's Letter"

My Love,

I have played this song for you

so many times.

And our paths have crossed

not a single time.

But wherever you are

I know you hear my tune.

And I will play it forever

til I find you.

I will play the song

I know you adore,

for I am just...

A Lonely Troubadour.

God bless the poets of the world. What would we do for beauty if it were not for words like these? :)

This was a very touching trilogy. Well done. You captured the emotional turmoil of both parties. Now we need the happy ending: awaiting Part 4. ;-)

Thanks for the comments. :) Perhaps we would be at a loss for beauty without words like these. It may be a happy ending, but I don't make any promises ;) lol

Hi Nikki , Girl I've always loved music , its been a huge part of my life , I just wish that I had the gift of it ! Almost anytime I yearned for love , happiness or just about anything ,some song was at the center of that yearning . My personal favorite is Folk , folk anything ! Gordon lightfoot , Ian Tyson , even modern folk , The Avette bros. , mumford and sons etc. , Lets listen for awhile !.......Awesome writing , as usual !

I am charmed thanks sligobay, Chad, its a lovely song then. And ahoseback, I love music as well. I have always found music I relate to during a hard time and it would make feel better, songs for a broken heart and so forth. But those songs dont make me sad anymore I relate to them in a happier way. I believe I have found my lonely troubadour and he sings to me a happier tune. My fave music though is rock. But I love all kinds. I am ecclectic when it comes to music. Out of the ones you named I only know Mumford and sons, they are pretty good.

Nikki,

Touching and with a sense of yearning, both in the troubadour and the girl who loves him. I wager that "this" song must be "his" proclamation of love for her. Right?

Voted up and all of the choices.

Keep up the terrific work.

Kenneth

I love the way you meshed reality with fantasy in this piece, but could be a slice from real life situations.

Like I said, you are very talented
