The Truth About Forever- A Book Review
A Decent Romance
If you are in search of a decent teen romance with no inappropriate scenes then The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen is probably the book for you to read. She managed to put together a decent plot about a young girl who's brainy boyfriend goes away to camp for the summer leaving her by herself to work a rather boring library job that she didn't enjoy.
Her dull life begins to take a change for the better though when she runs into a catering business and decides to join them, in the mean while meeting and having a possible romance through one of the team members.
Modern Day Teen Struggles
I find that through out each and every book Sarah Dessen has been able to weave struggles that many teens have to deal with to this day. The Truth About Forever isn't different. Maybe some of you can look back as you read this book and think to yourselves, why I went through that as well. Or maybe wonder if your kids are going through things. In either way you might find yourself being able to connect your personal life to this book.
A Great Read
This 374 paged book was finished in a heart beat. I struggled to put it down. I'd tell myself that I needed to get things done or needed to take a break so I'd put it down but only for a few minutes because I'd find myself returning to it once again. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy reading young adult books. It's a wonderful teen romance.
Maybe it's not a paranormal romance but honestly, does everything have to be paranormal? I give this book four stars mainly because I'll admit there are one or two areas that are slow but besides those this book is awesome!
