The Unbroken (a poem of greatest inspiration)
The strongest of heart, spirits of steel...
the true nature of a man, this so revealed.
No black heart, or evil, to succeed, or to win...
strength of the father, not to give in.
Unbroken souls, no challenges concealed,
Never relinquished, no faltering, of our will.
Just as grand structures, tall towers to descend,
We pick up the pieces, then start over again.
No greater power, proven by trials, is held within,
Our truest natures, tested by fires, to transcend.
As children of the Lord God, all to comprehend,
And in his likeness, this we do coextend.
Instilled deep down inside the souls of men,
This never to be reproved, or to resend.
So unmistakable, are we, the very capable...
Our own determination, never to amend.
That unbreakable, our faiths... the unshakable,
Best of human values, all beyond compare.
Almighty maker of us each...the gentle, powerful,
The greater, and the smallest... these all do share.
Our human link to the creator, the finest artist,
Grandest innovator...is ours, offered unimpaired.
His open arms to embrace, this our human race,
Our accepted allegiance, is joyously declared.
