The Wolves' Child - A Poem
The Wolves' Child
The wolves run through the dark woods,
The paws pound, pound, pound
While all the others that watch
Make not a single sound.
They stand proud, they stand brave
As they run with strength
No fear in their eyes
They'll go whatever length.
Others watch with a smile
For they hold such pride in them
All the while these wolves run,
Never to be condemned.
They are free and oh they are wild
But they will save you
For you are their child
So hold on they'll take you on a ride
But do not worry,
In me you must confide.
The wolves may seem frightening
But they mean only the best
To protect you from harm,
Like they do all the rest.
They are the guardians,
The kings and queens of the woods
And they'll make sure no harm is done
Like they know they should.
The wolves run through the dark woods
They run and howl at the moon
The sounds may be terrifying,
Do not fret, it'll be over soon.
The wolves should be respected
They are merely misunderstood
They are wild, oh so ever wild
But you are their child....
The wolves' child.
And no harm should they ever do to you.
