The beauty of the youthful mind-Indulge in poetry.
Product of dreams
The beauty of youth lost in the pages of Adulthood.
I came across a poem I wrote some 10 years ago (circa 1999-2000) and was struck by the sheer beauty in words and the blissful air it had. This took me back to days when life was not riddled with the pains of growing up and leaving our fantasy worlds, here are a few verses to the poem “Queen”.
"Bow down to the call of love
Admit your silence
Close your eyes to the reality
Give your heart half a chance
Look deep in her eyes..." *
*The poem Queen is by Victor Mavedzenge aka Alladream74

Too afraid to love
We have become too afraid to love. This arises from the fear of getting heart. In my humble view, one should not seek to become dependent of the ones they love or of anyone. "Learning to love yourself, is the greatest love of all" -Whitney Houston.
When we love ourselves greatly,we can afford to fall in love and love the next person totally...without fear.
Keep the faith-Keep dreaming
It seems we forget to dream and lose faith in other people, as we grow older. There is a refreshing element in fantasizing, or “falling in love” which we somehow over look as adults.
Fear also seems to take more control of our lives as we become less likely to surrender and admit that we are totally in love with someone.
Fortunately, poetry affords us a brief moment in this fantasy world that so refreshes us. If you cannot indulge in life, indulge in poetry!
