Powerful hub writing techniques - Creative, how to and technology articles

Creative Writing at its finest

Hub writing does indeed take time, and especially if you are to think of potentially writing the most powerful hub of all time, and so with that being stated I will present to you my first attempt at doing such a thing here.

This hub was designed to drive it home for those folks who are looking to master the craft of creative writing online with technical topics in mind, and to learn many cool techniques of how to write much more intuitively, and on any given technological subject matter they choose from while using many different varying angles of approach to do it.

This particular article was also developed to be an example of an "evergreen" article, so no matter what the trends or the tides are out there on the world wide web or the season of the year. Someone is bound to locate it eventually to potentially deem such information as useful to them, mainly due to the subjects relevance and its overall useful contents placed into online action here.

This will also be truthful as for your hub articles are concerned, especially if you choose to learn and apply these online writing techniques this hub focuses major emphasis on, and if you have yet to learn of such content placement tactics, because 9 times out of 10 your readers may also choose to socially share the articles you write daily with them cool sharing buttons we have on Hubpages, especially if they see it as entertaining, attractive, funny, useful, beautiful or simply worthy of sharing socially.

The subtopic of choice

Choosing such a subtopic as “Power Supplies”, will help me to lead this hubs subtitle further on course, to help explain in detail the underlining hidden powers of tilting with relevance. I will also go through much of the ways to make such an effective topic reach a much larger audience as well, and also provide useful hubpages community resources to help drive home this truly powerful message along the way.

This hub will showcase many uses of the term "Power" as well (Keyword)

A power supply can be defined by many ways, so let’s do so below this segment of the hub (Below the video supplied) to leverage a bit here on the whole keyword relevance, which as for the Google search and SEO is concerned needs to satisfy conditions of such, so that the article being written can become close enough to 100% relevant to that of the title as well as subtitle.

I decided to place in quotes the major keyword used yet a second time in the intro to the subtopic of choice paragraph above, but in a much differing tense, so that the search engines could pick up other words that are potentially being referenced as well. So, this will make the article even more richer in worded quality, and in its overall potential to become a web based resource location.

Now as for back link's to be placed here in this article, it can be directed to any given researched web location that’s relevant to the subtitle (Linking hubs is the best way to create a hubpages resource - Doing so increases Hub Karma).

Outbound links however can only be done on hubpages twice to any given non-commercial web location on a single hub being written, unless its a link sent to Wikipedia, which hubpages allows us writers to create many for link reference verifications.

So this is what I’ve done up above using the term “Power Supply”. The use of italics and bold is something of a technique to point out to the reader something in particular that somewhat needs to be pointed out more, emphasized, and or stressed, but make sure not to overdo it, mainly because the search engines are weeding out such abuse of the bold functions of text parameters mostly.

Images should remain relevant so not to confuse the reader

This image here isn't a relevant image for the topic of power supplies, and so it would confuse the reader, and anything that is distracting to the reader can potentially lose your audience, so relevance equates to much higher quality as well

Power Supply

Power Supplies – (Using this as a subtitle will help to bring focus to a newer aspect of the article, plus add more relevance to the main title, hence satisfying the conditions even further for good keyword usage, and even for that new hub hopper)

Definition – (By defining the subtitle it alerts the reader to focus more on what the keyword means, helping to keep them interested, and it sets out to clarify any misunderstandings or misinterpretations)

Example of the definition followed by link reference to the source of such:

A Power Supply unit (PSU) converts mains AC to low-voltage regulated DC power for the internal components of a computer. (Directly referenced from Wikipedia)

In that example up above I chose to utilize the word for word direct reference from Wikipedia, to convey my message to the reader clearly, accurately, and precisely. This allows for the reader a full comprehensive definition as to what your point was trying to get across to them, it also should provide website attribution as a link reference back to the location from which you researched the definition from (SEO - Search Engine Optimization), and frees up your article of any potential hub violation in regards to this particular point and aspect of writing style choice in your article, info annotation, or accreditation.

From this point onwards I will demonstrate the true power of sourcing multiple subtitles of much relevance, and into a single hub to increase its factors of being located by web surfers, crawlers, web bots, search engines, social media locations, social networking locations, and pro networks. I will no longer explain in detail however what it is that I am actually doing in terms of writing strategies. Let’s hope you can see the light that surely shall be shining, and at the end of this powerful hubs tunnel.

Power Transmission-

Definition - Power transmission is the movement of energy from its place of generation to a location where it is applied to performing useful work. (Wikipedia direct reference)

This use of power is generally something that a person will find in dealing with technology mostly, mainly due to the fact that transmission of energy is a form primarily of transferring energy from one state of existence to that of another state.

This concept can be also found in the subject of thermodynamics, which deals with the conservation of energy principles, in which Sir Isaac Newton was championed as being the lone creator of such terminology. Power is always scientifically expressed and represented in the form of many differing symbols and in SI Units, such as joules, coulombs, watts, etc... A full listing is supplied towards the end of this article.

Power Symbols

Definition - A power symbol is a symbol indicating that a control activates or deactivates a particular device. (Wikipedia direct reference)

The usage of power symbols extends across the wavelengths, and full spectrum of time, and primarily has landed in the technological form as some pretty cool shapes, and designs. These symbols were created to convey such a message to the viewer of such material, to know of certain safety protocol if any was needed, and some in society was used as status symbols of power as well.

In many areas of technology, for instance in dealing with high voltages per say, it's highly dangerous to work around much of the electrical equipment that stores high levels of electrical power, receives, transmits, generates or distributes it. So these precautionary safety measures of using symbols as a method of indicating to people what is appropriately deemed as unsafe for human life, is mandatory.

Many high powered machines, cable power lines, and the likes all must be labeled with the accurate readout’s and safety readings so to make sure human lives aren’t placed into grave danger, and just by not showing what is in fact a highly dangerous area to maneuver around, can induce the potential for many innocent lives to be lost.

Power generation -

Power generating turbines in Hoover Dam, as the photograph shown here to the right and up high above at the beginning of this power packed hub article, showcases the attractive allure of its powerhouse chassis appearance, and overall fashionable look. Its so attractive that crowds of people from all around the globe, close to a million of them a year, all flock to the Dam here in the United States to see it, and to tour such a powerful location. Tourist love to see the magnificence of such a beautifully monstrous looking instrument of an electrical device, and the key role and overall purpose of this awesome Dam is to generate hydroelectric power, with the use of these powerfully huge generators there.

The electricity is stored and distributed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to the Nevada, Arizona & California area, but its soon to be owned by various parties including, but not limited to some Native American tribes of Nevada, thanks to our current President Barrack Obama, placing into legislation a signed contract of part ownership of 5% to the tribes and the rest to various townships utility companies (Need more info on who is soon to take ownership of the Hoover Dam in 2017 and from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, visit wikipedia here: Power Distribution)

Power Lines

That subtitle up above and keyword is actually a sort of pathway and or connection point for what is known as electric power transmission, which is defined according to Wikipedia as: "Electric-power transmission is the bulk transfer of electrical energy, from generating power plants to electrical substations located near demand centers."

The usage of such a thing as power transmission lines, and high powered electrical cables that distribute live loads of AC (Alternating Current) and DC (Direct Current) currents are widely in usage across all modernized areas of society requiring electricity via power outlet as well as in conjunction with building structures needing water, heating, and electrical power.

Historical Factoid - Way back in 1882, DC power had been used more wide spread as a form of transmission line distribution of electrical juice, but today AC has taken over as king of the power distribution game by all utility companies, and because its more easily distributed, AC is responsible for supplying all of our more modernized technologies that require its use, there are transformers with rectifiers built in, both half wave and full wave that help to make the conversion from AC to DC currents, and voltages.

These rectifiers are actually designed to convert AC into DC for all respective purposes within all appliances, and devices that require such voltages; hence the reason why the power outlet in our homes or office buildings that send out AC voltages to our electronic appliances, and within these units there's always a power supply, as well as potential external one as well (Also known as a power pack).

Most American homes and buildings are equipped with power boxes (Fuse box) leading to lighting circuits, and then distributed to power outlets which are normally wired for "Three Wire Single Phase, with a single center-tapped transformer", directly referenced from wikipedia.

Other forms of Power in (SI Units) and termed definitions

Horse Power - (hp)

Human power - express as a unit of work over time (work/time)

Mechanical Power - force per unit of velocity (force/velocity)

Optical power - power of light through an optic lens (watts)

Electric Power - watts or joules per second (watts) (joules/second)

Food calculation - Calories per hour - (or Kilocal/hour)

dBm - power ratio in decibels (Used in measuring microwave and fiber optic networks)

ergs per second - Unit of energy and mechanical work (Ergs/sec)

Coulomb - measurement of electric charge (Ampere/second)

Just give it your all & Go for it!

I like using subtitles a lot in my hubs, they not only break the monotony but also increases the performance of such article as subtitles complement the main title. If a keyword can not fit in the main title, them subtitle will be a good replacement. You have explained it well here about writing creative articles on technical topics. Voted up, useful and shared.

Thanks @dwachira for the visit and for commenting.

Yeah man subtitles work wonders to help contribute to the overall smooth navigation of a hub article, and to also provide the search engines with relevant points of reference to verify, and list in their search engines as well.
