The tiny devil that spoilt my day!
I was reading the morning’s newspaper lying on the couch,
A sting on my right foot made me jump up with an ‘Ouch!’
It was a silly little mosquito that dared to bite!
But soon she flew away , I felt it alright.
She was out through the window, I was glad to see,
But how on earth would I know she would soon return to me!
This time she preferred to sit on the tip of my nose.
I lay still as if I was giving a photography pose.
Gently I twitched my nose, she was in sight.
Before I could do anything she took a little flight.
Her buzzing sound was back again, it was loud and clear,
She had the guts to sit this time on my cheek, oh dear!
I said to myself ‘ Enough is enough, time is just now ripe,
I have to take action forthwith to end the devil’s life.’
With this thought I threw the newspaper right over my face,
But missed her very narrowly what a disgrace!
My spectacles fell, lenses broke, Oh what a price had to pay!
for attempting to kill the devil that spoilt my entire day!

The poem is written to arouse some laughter - Nothing else! I shall be glad if you find it funny.
If you feel down and lonely at your old age and miss those bygone days when you could work hard and had little worries please know that God is there to take care of you. Speak to him and trust him.
Some situations can compel you to hold your nerves. This proved so true in the case of Garry. He did not go deep inside the forest but learnt a great deal about monkeys.
