The Thirst (poem)
I had a dream nay desert without you
With endless sands and all was colored grey
Confused alone and hope so far away
So meaningless horizons I now knew
-
No sun no moon no purpose for the day
And empty winds assured me I was through
Then echoed world around me lies were true
Forgotten thirst was calling my dismay
-
A shadow came its hand an outstretched knife
I know your thirst and this will end your plight
I took the tool and all that it implied
-
Then from a memory came song of life
I love you dear a distant spring a light
I drank the blessing of you by my side
