The Tide (poem)
Tide
Collide
With the shore
As feelings roar
When once more I see
What a dream has set free
-
Feeling heart sore
At what couldn’t be
This treasure from the sea
A kiss from the moonlight
Which now has possessed me
With surging tides of delight
Waves of flame soon fill the night
-
With each kiss new dreams ignite
Drifting past reality
With our course now burning bright
As echoes call from distant height
And passion’s current holds us tight
A final kiss with goal in sight
A whispered wish as we unite
-
In welcome arms we alight
Returning pilgrims we
Bourn in ecstasy
Who did explore
Now a memory
Which we’ll adore
And once more
This tide
Ride
