The Wanderer (poem)

Upon a lonely road he heard her weep

A sound a song a movement in the air

Some memory his heart rejoiced to reap

This wanderer beyond all worldly care

-

She cried and yet a tone of hope was heard

Some Joy some peace some moments meant to last

It must be her for whom his soul once stirred

This wander from somewhere in the past

-

And as she sobs a something draws him on

To what to where to ending far unknown

For him there is no night to greet the dawn

This wanderer who travels all alone

-

Her sighs awoke the meaning of his day

Her cares her smiles her wondrous dreams to roam

Upon this lonely road he now must stay

This wanderer now wandering toward home

Your use of the photo adds to the visual imagery of the poem. It's kind of sad, but is a fact of life in relationships. Very creative.

Voted up and beautiful. Like a flowing river, like a country song. Johnny Cash just makes it perfect. Passing this on.

I read your interview with Deborah and I am deeply touched; your poem and the meaning of it; a chance to see what you see; a chance to feel as you do. Both your interview and this poem touched me leaving me in tears. You are amazing and I am humbled to be amongst the company of such esteemed people with pure hearts.

They say the pen holds no secrets and any attempted lie behind a veil; thank you for a view behind the veil.

Coming full circle is sometimes the answer to many questions in life, not to mention emotions. Very nice, Martin!
