Their Happiness

Days rolled by

In contentment and bliss

There was nothing to miss

In the love they shared

Days when skies were gray

Together in love

Brought out the rainbows

With every sugar sweet kiss

Most of life suddenly seemed light

There were so many smiles to share

Day by day

Side by side

Gliding along like upon a rolling river

They longed for the magic nights

When they could share

All the love they held inside

Nothing could take away

The joy of their love

No one could chase

Away the feelings they shared

Love like their’s

Comes along just once

They saw each other

And they simply fell

Life was easier to bear

When both were near

To one another

And love shone upon them

Their love so magical

Made the years

Not to matter as they went by

Loving each other with a contented sigh

Their happiness

Was all about the glow of true love

The colors of their world

So very shiny and bright

Love like theirs

Was so special and true

Together they were never blue

Loving one another day by day

I didn't think I'd ever be able to read this with the problems HP had this weekend...the wait was worth it.

Lovely poem. Happiness within a couple certainly makes life easier to bear, well into old age.

I read this last night and tried to post a comment, some kind of trouble on HP. Anyhow I loved your poem and the topping made it special. ( Elvis )

Rasma, your poetry is always so uplifting and joyful. You see the beauty in life and love. You have the heart of a poet.

I love the Elvis video. I've never heard his first recording. What a treat!

A true picture of true love. Nicely done Gypsy, something those of us in love can certainly relate to, "The colors of their world

So very shiny and bright"

Voted up, awesome, and beautiful.
