There Was A Man On The Moon

We All Have Heard The Stories

To my surprise

We all see with different eyes

Some say he was the only one there

I say it's impossible

A woman got there first

Some people ask

If your so sure where is she

She doesn't have to flaunt it like a male

She is low key and lovely

No boasting or bragging needed

No gloating or unneccesary exaggerated stories

Just to prove a point

A woman has better things to do with her time

If men listen to reason

There is no place a man has gone a woman hasn't been

By the way

If a man went by himself

He would get lonely real fast

Then I am sure he would leave

I lonely moon it would be

With no one to smile down on the world

This made me think of the musical Mame with Lucille Ball. They had a song in there with the words - the man in the moon is a lady.

Gypsy Rose Lee I will have to find it. We had a full moon recently and that's where the idea came from. If the moon could talk what would it say. Then one idea led to another. Thank you for always shedding new light on so many topics. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you for this fine read today--not sure when our next full moon is, but I will look at it with happiness when I see it

AudreyHowitt I wonder why so many people are always in competition with each other when they could be working together helping each other when needed ? Some people say it's our society and other people say it's a way we live our life. I rather see people struggling together and finding how good we really are. Thank you for reading and leaving a very nice comment. In Maine the moon is covered by a cloudy sky. Have a pleasant night.
