There's A Fine Line Between the Two People

Source

There's a fine line between the two people who once were in love.

They began their journey on a bumpy road, do you remember?

It would soon come a time filled with passion and no doubts about the future.

This dream of hers was finally coming true, and life was so beautiful.

She will never forget that call she made on that warm spring day.

Now it seems like an eternity ago, but thinking about that day still hurts.

It cuts like knives in her chest every time she's thinking of his words.

”I'm not sure about my feelings for you”, he told her on the phone.

The following days were like a nightmare that never seemed to end.

She could not sleep, she could not eat and it never seemed to stop.

This was the first time she had gotten burned so bad she wouldn't heal again.

Life turned to a direction she couldn't go, and she didn't understand why.

Somehow she managed to keep living by seeking comfort in a friend.

This friend came into her life for a reason, to help her love again.

She needed him more than he could have known, does he still remember her?

From now on she had to move forward alone, leaving her past behind.

Years have passed by since all this happened, and life has moved on.

But the love of her life is a man who still makes her heart beat faster.

The destiny made them run into each other several times during the years.

They were both too afraid to take the chance and start loving each other again.

He moved far away from her because of another love he had met.

She moved close to him again because of another love she had met.

There's a fine line between the two people who once were in love.

Hi Bill, thank you. I'm slowly returning. I have missed HubPages. This time of the year I get a little sad thinking of that young, blue-eyed and brokenhearted woman I once was... Thank you for the hugs. I'm sending you some hugs back! It's 2 am here and time for bed. :)

Oh yes, a fine line......and sometimes we don't know when or how to cross that line. Well said, Made!

Hi midget38, you're right. Maybe we shouldn't cross that line. Remembering the good times is probably the best thing to do. Thank you!

The fine line between people is sometimes not visible, and stepping over such boundaries can happen without thought you expressed with great delight

Sometimes it's best to make that fine line a huge highway with lots of distance in between.

Hi DDE, crossing the line could be easy, but the result would probably not be a success. Thank you for stopping by!

Hi bravewarrior, you're right. The two people have been working on that, but the destiny has made their roads cross a couple of times. Thank you!

Beautifully said and poetically expressed the sadness and destiny which seems to tie these people.

Hi Made

A stirring piece of work full of sad reflections and what we humans do

Real love lasts in the heart, the soul and the spirit of our mind

If it fails its’ test of time, our mind is forever tampered with

But if returned our hearts offer boundless empathy and energy

The line between energy and loss is a universal gap

Representing life’s evasive and ambiguous fulfilment

Great poem. It's when love changes so much people can look back on what it had been to see what it is.

Hi Roslynn, thank you so much! I didn't see your comment until now even if you wrote it six weeks ago...
