They're Watching Us!

They are watching us!

They are watching us

from way out there,

just for the hell of it.

We are not threat

to them,

so,

there is no reason

for them to kill us

all.

Why,

they are thinking,

in less than

100 years

they will destroy

themselves,

and their planet.

A God-forsaken people

living on

a God-forsaken planet earth,

they are thinking.

Who can dispute it

Why,

it's true.

We

all

are

an uncivilized people.

Uncivilized

and doomed,

on a collision course

with our own destiny.

They are watching us!

and laughing out loud.

Watching us destroy ourselves.

What a pity!

Indeed,

what a pity!

Thank you "rose-the-planner" for your support and encouragement for my poetry writing. I used to be a very radical poetry writer doing the turbulent years of the 50's and 60's when I was attacked and nearly killed, for no reason. I got over it. I feel blessed that I have not scars left, upon my heart, because of the pain, the suffering and the horror that I endured. Now I am ready to write poetry again after nearly 40 years of idle time away from poetry. So, I greatly appreciate your friendship and support. Regards, Dr. Haddox

WOW................that is quite a story of survival! I think it is wonderful that you are pursuing your love of poetry again. Keep on writing and most importantly get to know some of the other wonderful and talented poets on HubPages. There seems to be a wonderful and encouraging support system on this site, so go ahead and show everyone the great poetic work that you are capable of producing. Take care and have an awesome day!!!!! -Rose
