Through his eyes (With Him) - a poem in times of sadness
See yourself through his eyes..
Some of us look at ourselves through the eyes of others and feel like a worthless piece of rag. Thank God for His Word, His words tells me that I am created in His likeness and image and I am like Him in every way. I needed a reminder this morning, so this was written to me as much as for you who need reassurance. He says even if a mother deserts her suckling child He will never leave you. Such comforting words to those in pain and loss. My confidence is in Him, He is my peace and he is within. Oh what more could I need, or do I?
We may have needs, needs to be loved, share love, to be wanted, to be treasured, to be appreciated, but may discover that these needs are not met all the time. There is no need to be disillusioned. You are who you are.. You do not have to be validated by another, rejection may sound like a death knell, but it really isn't the end. There is a beautiful life waiting... for you, I have found mine...
Through his eyes -With Him...
You are special,
He said to me,
You are mine,
Precious and honored in my sight,
The apple of my eye,
My dearest child.
He taught me how to see myself,
Through his eyes, not someone else,
He taught me how to be kind,
He was the only one of His Kind,
He filled me with his grace so new
My everyday He sees me through,
Through troubles, pain and joy alike,
To keep my countenance upright!
He taught me how to love like Him,
Through days happy and those so grim,
He taught me all his favorites things,
To take in my stride all that life brings,
He is the shoulder I lean on,
When hope is lost and I feel forlorn,
I soak his chest with my tears,
He lifts my chin and kisses away my fears,
With him I am ever so strong!
With Him I could never go wrong!!
