Time - our most precious commodity.

Time is our most precious commodity.

Every person is given the same amount to spend in each 24-hour period.

It cannot be “rolled over” into the next day or “added on” to the end of one’s life.

It is spent entirely in that 24-hour period.

Some people spend their time attaining vast wealth and fame.

Some spend their time in a quest for pleasure and fulfillment.

Others spend much of their time cultivating closer, deeper relationships with family and friends.

Still others waste the precious time they have been given, and wonder how and why their lives have passed them by.

There are a few gems in this world that have chosen to spend their time in pursuit of making the world a better place.

Perhaps by feeding the hungry or helping those in need. Reaching out to the hopeless and helpless; replacing a frown with a smile.

They have given freely of the precious commodity of their time, and for that, the world is a better place.

Opportunities abound for you to spend your time. Remember it is invaluable, it is limited.

When you lay your head down to sleep tonight, ask yourself this question.

How did I spend my time today?

Simple yet profound message Miss_jkim. The most precious commodity indeed. Yet so undervalued by some. Well said!

...I love your insightful and profound writing here my friend - I love when you make me think and feel and ponder my very own existence and perhaps, as in life, this hub produces more questions than answers ....which always leaves room for futher debate and analysis in another hub ...... and yes you are a pretty precious commodity yourself.....

You always give such glowing praise which humbles me. I am happy to know that what I have written, gives you pause to ponder and opens the door for more questions. After all, isn't that what good writing is all about?
