Tired But Tender

Life has a strange way of pulling the truth out

I call it the test of time

When my thoughts and wishes line up together

It might of taken years but now time is just a drop in the bucket

A long time ago my values were the same but the timing wasn't right

There is no way I could of known of the master plan

I was just a pawn in a game of chess that just begun

To me every move seemed like eternity

As my memory recalls I had many disappointments

To my surprise they were just the view from my eyes

If I could of seen it as an awakening

That helped me learn and understand patience is the key

To want and then to have is only good when you learn what it is to wait

Builds character and perseverance

That is neccessary for a happy life

Finding peace in the simple pleasures that you provide

Not dependent on others to satisfy and please

Making due with what you have

When all is said and done you are the one that makes yourself happy

Older now coming home after a long days work

My wife equally tired but somehow stronger than I

As my eyes close she has found a second wind

One that pushes an eternal switch that has more energy and power

How can that be ?

I have reached my limit and she has found a secret strength

To get things done when I have fizzled

So I not only have a wonderful relationship when things are going well

But a closeness when one of us is in need of help

A bond that makes super glue stick

Pulling together and rooting for each other

Passing the baton when one is out of breath

Our timing is uncanny

Now hours later I have found my inner strength

I can hold you up and reassure you I am here

Pampering you because I want to

Not because I need to

Treating your body sacred as a temple

Taking nothing for granted and always being amazed at its ambience

The before and after glow that I bear witness

So refreshing and satisfying

I know I am the one

So if it is a quick kiss or a hug

Everything has its place

A time to be quiet

Listening to the silence of one another

Bathing in a beauty that can't be seen

It can be felt only by two lovers who have bonded as one

Wrapping up a day that started of good

It was filled with energy and numerous activities

Taking its place as if it was a number on the number line

Progressing in proper order

Until we succeed to reach the point of happiness
