To Dream Those Impossible Things

To Dream Those Impossible Things..

I'd like to sleep , to sleep it all away

and have no worries , even just for a day

and dream and dream of those impossible things

like falling in love or flying with wings

I'd like to lay and listen to the rain without my thoughts

of all the times I hurt and all those times I fought

to hold on, to let go ,or just to get by

I'd like to sleep even just for a little while

Just let the world keep going and spinning around

I'd like to sleep and not to be found

even just for a day to dream my dreams

of all of those impossible things

I'd like to forget all the pain people must go through

maybe dream about a perfect world too

I'd like to sleep to sleep it all away

and not have to worry about how to get by each day

to stop this rat race and just let go

to close my eyes and open my soul

and see the stars and hold them in my hands

and not have to face those everyday demands

And maybe when I awake some dreams may have come true

while I spent my time sleeping and had nothing else to do.

Well Written indeed... It is always an awesome feeling to read words that I can relate with... Even if those words reflect frustrations, and failures... & for me it is personal... Because I have learned the hard way as to the value of sleep... It is not a dream come true when those dreams prevent you from dreaming.

That's what I wanted to do too...sleep it all away but instead I write and hub it all away. Good one!

Well, Angel, this is a beautiful expression of what many of us feel. Really, lovely. Oh, the dreams vary from person to person and from age to age but we all dream those impossible things. The title really caught my imagination, it really sings. Thanks for sharing your wonderful poem. Voted up, awesome and beautiful.
