To Each His Own ( a poem of reflection)
All God's creatures, and all those big and small,
He loves them each, he loves them all.
Since time began, and was so very long ago,
A beautiful world, this, he so strives to show.
As the fond tides, do both ebb and to flow,
is ours to share, just as it is his to know.
He smiles in pride, as his hands do guide,
Across the wide earth, for those down below.
Each precious season, he so guides our lives,
Every creature's delight, as each so thrives.
The cold in Winter, warmth sought in the Spring,
The rains in Summer, Autumn's relief to bring.
This precious life so measured, our lord's every gift,
In life, each spirit to soar. in death, his then to lift.
At the new days bright birth, the sun lights its way,
Just as at every passing, night to follow every day.
To each his own, every child belongs, and is to be a part,
The children of the lord are many, and all from his heart.
His gift of life, no conditions or cost, and all may so afford,
An existence and of a love, is this, one of such accord.
