To Speak my Mind(A Timely Poem)
Conception
Hold the press, should I digress,
to speak my mind, some words unkind.
How much like, the driven spike,
in days of Rome, is our own home?
Our bowel culture, we all must see,
no more privacy, on our T,V.
Seems little hope, a change to make,
while others dream, for pity's sake!
How much like, the blind or deaf,
with acts so wrong, then what is left?
The deaf close eyes, the blind won't hear,
a life so false, to hide the fear.
Our every act, against the grain,
the joys of life, seems masked by pain.
Is each's part, in this charade,
to hold our tongues, no progress made.
We must speak up, without a doubt,
to tell a world, our words to shout.
Stop the greed, and where it may lead,
beyond our scope, to intercede.
Does destiny await, a question asked,
our guilt exposed, without a mask!
The time is now, tomorrow won't wait,
for us to act, and remove all hate.
A kinder world, then we shall see,
and a better place, for us all to be,
No more fear, a new joy and life,
as a gentle rain, removes the strife.
A greater world, our decision precedes,
no more wrong, to right, it leads.
Our minds must meet, it is so plain,
our lives at stake, to remove the stain.
