Today Is Jerry's day ............

Borrowed this from a hub , I forgot where . Its beautiful though , forgive me .
Borrowed this from a hub , I forgot where . Its beautiful though , forgive me .

The hours are long , the sky grey and wet , we wait and wait , Today is Jerry's funeral and I don't know what to do this moment this hour , but to write .
For Jerry.

Amid the softly dripping maple trees
and emerald green fields
this day becomes yours my brother
As we
your loved ones
lay you
beneath a flag
And when a bugle echoes among these
hills you love so much
The world
yes the world will
know
That today is yours
And as we selfishly and
freely cast forth
our tears
They will lay with those
fallen before
We know so well the agony
of death
of loss
Though you have now
entered the bliss of
heaven
And you
I see you standing humbly
a bible in one hand as always
head lowered
One humble man against
the world
And as god smiles his
one smile today
at you
We will know
you are free

'They may be gone from our homes but never from our hearts !!'

This is so true and he will know your pain and how much he was and is loved.

Your emotions I feel in your beautiful words and I know only too well just how therapeutic writing is for the heart and soul.

I empathise with you my friend and remember I am only a few clicks away if you need that shoulder.

Take care my dear friend and God Bless.

Eddy.

ahorseback, I have a little poem for you, if it is of any help at this time for you:

Jerry, as a wave on the sea,

For Us you would be,

Sweet Brother, Son and Friend.

Depart from us now,

Fond Blessings, be Free

On the Ocean of Love without End.

Hello Joy , Sure , Jerry was my next oldest brother 61 beautiful years old , he lost his life to a vehicular related work death accident on thursday last and we were all gathered around his bed in ICU saturday at three am when the wires and tubes were taken from his body . A very religious and spirited brother , he will be missed by hundreds of friends , family and co-workers . He is already there in the eternities of heaven . One thing we loved about him is that he was a funny , extremely witty man. Thank you for asking !

ImKarn , thank you so much , I know that you mean that ! We, as a family, learned from the beginning , calmness, serenity , spirituality , kindness compassion for others . I don't even understand how we got through sometimes , yet we won over some difficult trials in our lives. Anyway I am fine and will remain your friend as long as we are here ! Thank you !......Hugs...Ed

ahorseback know that my heart is saddened this day to read of the loss of your brother. It leaves us always wondering just when our time is nigh, for we never know the circumstance or the reasons why our saviour chooses that time and place to bring us home.

I know your brother is walking with his bible clutched in his hand towards the grace of his creator and is at peace. May you find peace as well this day my friend knowing that you will always be thought of by so many of your friends here at the hubs. Bless you brother.

Vincent Moore my friend , Thank you! At a time like this we exist only through the movements of the slowest hands of a clock . We are broken ! Are we not . And then , the realizaation that we chose to rebuild or remain somehow shattered , or angered perhaps. What is it about he five or six phases of trauma . Shock , denial ,.............untill finally acceptance . Yes , we will go on . But only with the help of friends like you ! Thank you . From the heart.

Belated, but heartfelt, my thoughts are with you at this time. Your brother, now home, now free, has left a chasm unfilled, no not selfish, those tears are all there is when trying to come to terms with loss. Be gentle on yourself as you remember your dear brother, let the warmth of his smile warm you. Your beautiful tribute is briming with love.

Fennelseed , Some days are just memory filled and others I'm just angry with the system and God and the world , I don't have to tell you about this sad time , I know ! Thank you as you are among those closest to me ! my brother Jerry was the most humble , god loving family man I've probably ever known ! Just a peach of a guy . I know one thing now , the word ' brother 'is just is just a small word for such an all encompassing discription of him !..thank you , thank you!
