Tuned In
Let The T.V. Roll
I try not to watch too much t.v.
When I am in the mood
I pull up a seat
Then I grab a few throw pillows and toss them under my head
I kick up my socked feet
I get all comfty and lay down on the couch
As I watch actors and actresses
Taking good humor and laughter to the next level
I love it so much
I enjoy being home
My wife and I will watch a few sitcoms
I get restless
Then I tell my wife I have had enough
I have to get up
I go on the computer and write a little
Open a book and read a few pages
I give myself time to dream
I bring out a bowl of cut up celery sitting in water out of the fridge
I try to eat a healthy snack
I could easily grab cookies or something sweet
I try to limit my junk food
Even though it tastes so good
Instead I will have a yogurt or a piece of fruit
The time passes very quickly
I can sit easily to three and four in the morning
Then I have to drag myself away
To get some sleep
If not I will never wake up the next day
I try to squeeze in all I can
It reminds me of doodling
You can doodle for an hour
During that time
Maybe ten or twenty minutes in or in the the last five minutes
You discovered something big
You feel right
The doodling becomes something special
It's times like these I live for
You have no way of knowing what was about to happen
Then when it happens
Your mind jumps on board
On a speed boat to open waters
It makes all the other times worthwhile
It was practice to get all warmed up
Where it goes from here
The skies the limit
You just witnessed lightning strike
What a wonderful thing
To see a picture or an idea develop
That did not exist a minute ago
