Two Days Ago

To My Dear Friend

How much I appreciate the words you say

We may be only one person when we are left alone

But little do they know how are numbers have grown

Writing poetry is my thing

I salute lawyers , doctors and dentists

For they have mastered their profession

In writing it is a little bit different

You struggle with a new thought

Always living on the edge

There is no text book cases to follow

You are weak and sometimes ill

Once again no medicine for a cure or expert advice to lead the way

Writers write because we want to

The pain is hidden and even an X-Ray can't detect

So I travel a lonely road

Till I see this piece of paper blowing to and fro

I pick it up and it reads like the wind

A letter To Google by Jodah

As I begin to read my mind is instantly taken

By a Frankenhubber

My eyes look down upon the page and see

A world unfold I have never quite been able to hold

Bold faced type word after word saying it like it is

Hitting right on target

Not just for poet hubbers but readers too

Follow your heart and let each word spark

That ignites a fire that burns

A different choice than many

We read your stories and go on a new adventure

Try your recipes that are delicious and tasty

Travel the world with your trips

Enjoy your tips on the newest phones and gadgets

Come away with us

Where words are everything

Reading line by line

Laughing with a rhyme

Listening to what we have to say

Noble and true

Sad or blue

Words make us feel better

When we share them with you

With one purpose

To find a place we a can agree or disagree

Work is calling

I hear my cell phone buzz

It will have to wait

I am busy

What I am about to say has been said before

Many times many different ways

All poets and friends have to stick together

Google don't penalize us for trying our best

Give poets their place

So we can write and give to the world

New meaning on old thoughts

New ideas that create

Where would Google be without someone

Who took the time to see not just what's here

But what's in our mind

For everyone to share

"Give poets their place..." Sometimes I feel that poetry has no real home. But then on one hand Hubpages has provided me the community and enviroment to thrive (according to my own standards of course.) Thank you for not only this great poem but sharing your poetry and excepting this home. Jamie

jhamann I am always trying to reach the unreachable. Their are many poets who have gone far then their are some that just starting out. It is always nice to do something you enjoy. It is harder to do something when people don't notice you. Unfortunately bad news gets the spotlight. All that can change if people change. I enjoy Hubpages just like you. Thank you for reading and understanding. May your weekend be Grand.

Enjoyed this. I believe we poets open our hearts to most everyone and it feels so good when we are appreciated.

Gypsy Rose Lee I love how each poet has their own story to tell. Sharing their feelings and their talent. Even on my darkest days poems make me feel so much better. Thank you for reading and commenting. Have a beautiful night.

Poets are reaching , grasping, sharing - making hidden to be seen , unknown to be familiar with and widening horizon of us all.

Interesting.

Michael-Milec I love poems best because we can say honestly how we feel about people and life and nobody takes it personal. It is just a poem that expresses in the best words we know trying to describe my feelings, thoughts and current mood. In an effort to make other people think and inspiring them to write and reveal our wonderful world and life. Thank you for reading and commenting. Giving me the chance to express myself in a deeper level than sometimes humanly possible.
