Under the Mistletoe

Source

Its one of those awkward moments.
What do we do?
When we're standing under the mistletoe,
Am I supposed to kiss you?
It would be the perfect excuse.
Just a simple traditional Christmas kiss.
Its something I've wished for,
Right on top of my Christmas wish list.
Here we are right on que.
Should we pucker up and get right to it?
Should we take our time,
Or rush right through it?
Here we are under the mistletoe,
lets not lose our chance,
to touch our lips together,
and let our tongues dance.

Wait are you waiting for? Just kiss him/her already! On a more serious note, I know those mistletoe berries look yummy, but DO NOT EAT. I would hate for you to get a tummy ache...

I'm with PDX, didn't know the tongue was allowed under the mistletoe! ;) Had I known ... Seriously, though, I missed this one around the holidays. It's really cute and entertaining. Thanks for sharing it, Nikki!

There is oodles and oodles of mistletoe growing on my street. Way up in the trees. So I related to this cute poem.

Nikki ~ Delightful poem. Questions asked and answered for the misguided and wise during the holidays. Blessings, Debby

I always thought an innocent peck on the cheek was the proper way to kiss someone under the mistletoe. Boy, was I misguided! All those gorgeous hunks. . .and no tongue!!

What a bummer. . .Hehehe!

Loved this very cute and delightful poem.

Thanks for sharing.

haha yes i guess tongue dancing is a bit extreme but if theres no objections from either party and it is under appropriate circumstances then i say go for it! lol and by appropriate circumstances you wouldnt kiss your cousin like that under the mistletoe hah.

Belated Merry Christmas, and keep it clean under the mistletoe, unless, of course, there's no one else around :D

nikki, the key phrase in your response is "if there's no objections from either party"

ok well pdx i think i would have objections if it was my cousin lol. sometimes a kiss on the cheek would suffice but if its a hottie with the body that im crushing on or something like that, well people are gonna be saying, "Get a room!" lol

And yes rebecca, I'm sure it will. January is flying by. Thanks for the read and comment. Til next xmas :)
