Unforeseeable the changes in circumstance and life,
renewed by the forces of balance and nature,
always at the ready to embark on journeys unconsidered,
pathways not outwardly chosen, but in retrospect rewarding.
The least understood our actions of consequence,
not why, not even how it will manifest in life,
the rhyme of balance echoing within consciousness,
rarely noticed or observed in learning.
When change comes upon us, we are none the wiser,
judging life's deliberations as one thing or another,
not realising whose hand betrays us,
whose actions conspire to deal the blows of human suffering.
If only we could see our own sculpting,
our own actions resolved at end,
we could modify responses to live free from unwanted consequence,
to know what tips the scales and what losses ensue.
The knowledge apparent, the actions far more difficult,
to know oneself this intimately, honesty must prevail,
and the pathways of choice well considered and understood,
to be free from our own devious hands, and the laws of balance.
Unforeseeable to some, predictable to others,
life's course a myriad of cause and effect,
ready to whisper secrets to the initiate,
someone open and honest enough to be aware.
See as predictable or unpredictable; all by our own hands.
