Unrepentant, and Real

By Tony DeLorger © 2012

Without regret I step forward,

into a vast and unwritten life,

knowing that my past pain, anguish and joy,

has brought me here to who I am.

The past, however viewed,

has been the making of me, with all its ineptitude.

and I, unrelenting, remain open to my own truth,

ever prepared to change what needs changing.

However I see it, I know that wrong is a false ideal,

and I, so often immersed within it, must forgive myself,

and know that my teacher bares no grudge,

and at end saves me from myself.

Knowing that I am biased, given all experience,

I must see beyond myself,

ignore that inner voice that responds not considers,

and only then can I see reality true.

I concede, I am weak, I am strong, I am right and so very wrong,

yet when all is done I am me, an evolving expression,

a life in momentary consciousness,

seeking to make what is half, whole.

I am lost, I am found, I am numb and so profound,

yet my hearing is far less than my resonating voice,

and in this I must know balance,

in this beautiful landscape of being.

I am a philosopher, a zealot, a preacher and a fool,

entwined in my bullshit, and lost in doubts,

yet I am the magic of potential,

and the unfurling of miraculous love and joy.

I am me, singular and without comparison.
