Upon A Bridge (poem)

Upon a bridge of loneliness and doubt

Across a river flowing to the sea

A mirror of a voice sings out to me

Some light refusing ever to go out

It sings of tears and Joys of long ago

Of heartbeats which I thought would never pass

The truth of dreams shear splendor would amass

One wonders now if it was truly so

My mind a silent chorus of refrain

Still cannot grasp the meaning of it all

There locked inside some distant prison wall

With only shadows’ murmurs to explain

The voice the song a freshness in the air

A promised hope of path I always knew

The one upon the bridge once knew it too

This river bound for sea would take me there

Beautiful poem and video. You sound sad in this reflection of verse from your heart. Voted up and beautiful. : )

A beautiful poem with a tinge of melancholy, too.

The past can be extremely clear when we look upon it from a different point of view. Very nicely done.

A bit of sadness within the verses, but still beautifully expressed.
