A Time for Talking and a Time to Act
Actions Speak Louder Than Words
When a Rattlesnake is poised to strike, should one then stoop just to say hello,
If a Grizzly bear attacks at night, should we just wave and say to him, to go?
Suppose a Rhino attacks a hunter with a gun, should the man bow and blow a kiss,
What is the action to be taken by us, and just what behavior should we all dismiss?
If a bully strikes a child on the playground, do we all stand around and roll our eyes,
knowing that if we do not respond, our own cowardice acts, we all will soon despise?
If a robber steals and then hurts a family, do we just say that it must be a sad case,
Then we go on, in lack of concern, until the same is thrown, in our own startled face?
Is diplomacy and mincing of words the solution, to answer an aggressor's evil acts,
knowing that if this is the course we should take, to be an unhappy end, in these facts?
Has history revealed to all the regretful results, when a people refuse to take a stand,
the tragedy to come, in weaknesses dumb, to a country that once stood so grand?
